AMW Professional Services is a Canberra based veteran owned and operated Defence technology development and consultancy business, providing services to Defence, Industry and the Federal Government. With a large consultant based workforce, 51 being veterans, they have a clear focus on supporting the development and careers of their veteran consultants. AMW’s recruitment practices to date have actively sought to engage with and employ transitioning veterans for their skills, qualities and experience. With 73% of their consultants being veterans, AMW is now focusing on modifying its recruitment practices to diversify their workforce and expand their organisational culture.

AMW prides itself in supporting veterans and continually provides advice to veterans on the type of roles their military skills will best support, advice on CVs and assisting with referrals into other organisations.
AMW have an active mentoring program to support knowledge transfer across their consultants. They are a Soldier On Pledge Partner and participate in University of New South Wales veteran recruitment events. They are also a supporter of active reservists offering flexible working arrangements to support reserve commitments and focus on developing diverse teams that draw on people from all parts of the Defence force and industry.
