Emily Pyke is a Royal Australian Navy veteran and the co-founder and CEO of UndaTech, a company redefining safety standards for Defence, emergency services and high-risk industries through advanced undergarments and base layers. With 13 years of service as a Petty Officer, and extensive operational experience, Emily identified critical gaps in personal protective ensemble, particularly for women. Her lived experience inspired UndaTech’s mission: to enhance performance, comfort and survivability of our high-risk workforce through purpose-built, fire-safe and ergonomic base layers.
UndaTech is one of the first companies globally to develop protective undergarments that integrate with PPE. Its pioneering innovations include the world’s first fire-safe period-proof brief and a fire-safe bra, tailored for use in demanding environments such as combat, maritime and emergency response.
Under Emily’s leadership, UndaTech has evolved from concept to pre-commercialisation, securing national grants, initiating trials with the Australian Defence Force, and supplying to women in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The company has been recognised with the Chief of Navy Innovation Excellence Award and the Vogue Future Innovators Award.
Beyond UndaTech, Emily is a passionate advocate for frontline personnel and sovereign industry growth. She sits on the Defence Trailblazer Governing Board, shaping national innovation in Defence, and serves on the NSW Women in Defence Association Advisory Board, championing support and visibility for women across Defence and industry.
As a driven entrepreneur, Emily is motivated by a commitment to strengthen frontline capability through practical, safety-focused innovations for high-risk workforces.
