Kylie Bonnor is a Defence spouse of 26 years, mother of three additional needs young people, author, speaker, and trauma recovery specialist.
Having navigated almost 20 relocations often bringing uncertainty, Kylie has experienced impacts to her career and disrupted education. Rather than letting these be barriers, Kylie transformed her own challenges into a mission to empower others. Over the past ten years, she has supported women through one-on-one coaching and group programs, helping them reclaim confidence, clarity, and self-leadership.
Through Major Breakthroughs, the company she founded in 2017, Kylie delivers practical, scalable programs for Defence families, FIFO partners, first responders, and women facing life transitions. She has worked to equip women with tools to overcome burnout and lead themselves, their families and communities with resilience.
Kylie witnessed firsthand; when the wife and mother is strong, confident and steady; the family is too. Strong women build stronger, more resilient Defence families, local communities and ultimately impact member capability and readiness.
Supporting a Defence member taught her adaptability, emotional strength and creative problem-solving; qualities that have not only informed how she runs her business but underpin the values and mission that drive it forward.
Her work ensures the people behind Australia's Defence capability are seen, heard, and empowered. Kylie says she’s not just building a business; she's building a legacy of resilience and intention. Kylie exemplifies entrepreneurism, tenacity, leadership and turning lived experience into practical, measurable impact while supporting a serving members career. She creates solutions where gaps existed and shaped conversations for future growth.
