In 2022, Optus launched United, an employee resource group dedicated to supporting veterans, emergency services personnel, and their families. Since its inception, United has grown into a thriving network with 144 general members. The United Network delivers meaningful support and value to these employees across Optus.
Led by passionate volunteers, United supports those who have served in the military globally, as well as current reservists, volunteers, and emergency services personnel. The group is grounded in the belief that these individuals bring exceptional skills, resilience, and leadership to the workplace. United is committed to recognising and empowering their contributions.

Since launch, the committee has grown from 8 to 17 members, supported by more than 144 general members. It comprises veterans, first responders, family members and allies, meeting monthly to guide the network’s strategic direction.
United spearheaded Optus’ Veteran Employment Commitment submission, resulting in official recognition as a Veteran Employer of Choice.
